The recipes below got me through treatment. They covered my bases through the sick days (bland), the exhausted days (sweets and soups), and even my feisty, well days (spicy and pretty much anything and everything else). The waters and the teas masked the unpleasant taste of water on its own. I went through treatment in the summertime and had to get creative with ways to cook the myriad of fresh fruits and veggies available since I couldn’t eat them raw. Except for sealed watermelons, which I ate avidly doused in naturally antibacterial lime juice and sprinkled with a little sugar!
