20 Easy Lycopene Packed Recipes

In September we work to help support prostate cancer awareness, and with it foods rich in lycopene, an antioxidant that has been shown to reduce the risk of prostate cancer, so how about cooking up some healthy lycopene-rich foods for our menfolk? We’re talking pasta with meatballs (chicken) and red sauce,  and even homemade pizza! According to the American Institute for Cancer Research, lycopene can collect in prostate tissues and help prevent damage, which some studies suggest may be the reason it has such potential in the fight against prostate cancer. Lycopene is found in a number of red foods like tomatoes , watermelon, and red peppers, and also also in some green veggies — asparagus and parsley being high up on the list. And the best part is that it becomes more bioavailable to our bodies when the fruits and veggies rich in it are cooked. Get inspired with these delicious recipes!
