Fennel Tea

This is a Simple Fennel Tea. Fennel seeds are the perfect natural aid to the digestion. Infused in hot water they make a soothing tea. Drink it to help an upset or queasy stomach, or as the perfect antidote to a heavy holiday meal.

Ginger Tea

Ginger tea is a marvel for soothing sick tummies and easing digestion. I used to make gallons of it when I was going through chemo. It was an instant fix if I felt queasy, which I often did. It is delicious drunk either hot or cold. Once you’ve sweetened it to your taste, you can chill it in the fridge. If your mouth needs the tickle of a little fizz, top up your glass with seltzer water.

Hot Lemon and Honey

Hot Lemon and Honey is one of the most soothing drinks there are. People all over make it when they’ve a sore throat and a cold, or are simply feeling under the weather. It can taste particularly good when we need a little comfort during chemotherapy. And making it with real ingredients rather than a packaged flavor tastes so much better. No contest!

Canarino

I was first introduced to this Canarino in Milan and was amazed to find how much taste could come out of a strip of lemon peel. The name means ‘Canary’ aptly describes the color of this lovely herbal tea. I found it much more enjoyable to drink than lemon water during chemo. This light digestible drink has all the aroma of lemon but none of the sourness, in fact I think it’s best without any sweeteners, so try a sip first before adding sugar or honey.
