Ingredients

  • 9 cups water divided
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a small pot over medium-high heat, combine sugar and 1 cup of the water. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. In a large pitcher, add raspberries. Using a wooden spoon, crush the raspberries. Add syrup, lemon juice, and the remaining 8 cups of water. Adjust to taste, adding more lemon juice or water as necessary.
  3. Chill and serve over ice.

It’s a great idea to make drinks like this at home. Commercial brands can have as much as an ounce of added sugars per cup.
