This isn’t your average smoothie. It is so thick and decadent it could be eaten with a spoon. The avocado in this Avocado Pineapple Smoothie gives an incredibly creamy, pudding-like texture and much needed healthy fats.

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth, adding more milk if you prefer. Best if served immediately.

  • ½ avocado,  peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup milk, or more if needed
  • ⅓ cup pineapple, frozen
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 ice cubes

Ann's Tips and Tricks

Haas avocados give this drink its velvety texture. If you use large green Florida avocados, they are lighter in taste and texture, and a little sweeter. Because of their size, you will probably need only ⅓ to ¼ of a fruit for this recipe.

For a dairy free drink, blend with soy or almond milk.
