This crema is our healthier take on the traditional. At CFYL we love using Greek yogurt in place of sour cream for a lower fat, higher protein alternative that still has a tangy bite. We swear you won’t even know the difference with this crema and, in fact, you might even like it more! It still has heavy cream, so of course moderation is key, so our serving size is 2 tablespoons. Enjoy it on our Elote recipe or any of our delicious taco recipes for a festive meal!

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, tip the yogurt. Sprinkle with salt
  2. Gradually blend in the cream 1/4 cup at a time until fully absorbed by the yogurt. It will have a silky texture. Blend in the lime juice. It’s ready.
