This Banana Slushie recipe, inspired by our friend Pat, is a really simple treat that got her through treatment. She was able to make this in her hospital room — all you need are some ice cubes, a banana, and a blender.

Preparation

  1. Combine the banana and ice cubes in the blender, and blend until smooth. Drink!

Ann's Tips and Tricks

You can use a frozen banana for this too – just be sure to blend it well before adding the ice cubes.

If you like nutmeg, add a grate or two of fresh spice to the banana before blending.
