Shrimp cocktail is but a shrimp that actually have an impressive amount of nutrients. They contain over 100% of the recommended daily value of selenium and over 75% of your B12. They are also high in protein and low in calories. If you are out at the type of restaurant that serves blooming onions and mountains of nachos for appetizers, the shrimp cocktail will definitely be the way to go. It’s also very easy and quick to make this famous appetizer at home. We roast our shrimp first to add extra flavor and then serve them up with cocktail sauce.


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. On a baking sheet, arrange shrimp in an even layer. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast for 10-15 minutes, or until shrimp have turned completely pink.
  4. Serve with cocktail sauce.
