Ginger Tea

Ginger tea is a marvel for soothing sick tummies and easing digestion. I used to make gallons of it when I was going through chemo. It was an instant fix if I felt queasy, which I often did. It is delicious drunk either hot or cold. Once you’ve sweetened it to your taste, you can chill it in the fridge. If your mouth needs the tickle of a little fizz, top up your glass with seltzer water.


1. In a small stockpot boil the ginger with water. Reduce to a simmer and steep for 5-10 minutes depending on desired strength.

2. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, if using, and honey or sugar to taste. Drink immediately or chill.
