Chard Recipes
In season: Although most markets carry chard year-round, chard is in season from late summer into fall.
How to buy: Look for crisp, bright leaves without holes or yellow or brown marks. The stalks... should be firm. Chard stalks come in a variety of colors from bright yellow to ruby red.
Storage: Rinse chard and keep with a damp paper towel in an open plastic bag. Keep in the refrigerator for three days. Blanch, freeze, and keep for up to 3 months.
